A Very Simple Request

I know that ALL bloggers in the blogosphere are reading this, so LISTEN UP!

I'm very far behind in my blog reading. When you keep posting, I get even further behind. Shit, people it's ONLY Monday and my Google Reader has a major cramp. Seeing 100+ posts to read doesn't make me happy, it makes me ill. I'm up to my armpits in unread posts. My eyes are crossing from all this reading, my fingertips bleeding. (The part about my fingertips bleeding isn't true, that would be ridiculous.)

Please EVERYONE take a week off from posting so that I can catch up. I don't see why the ENTIRE blogosphere can't take a break just FOR ME. Actually, I'm sure there are others that would appreciate the chance to catch up.

No more posting until I say so, ya hear?

LOL... this made me laugh. I have that feeling every morning when I open Google Reader!

I felt the same way after vacation.

I know. I'm dying under my google reader.

But we shouldn't stop commenting, right? Cause of the withdrawls and all? I mean, if you were me, if I were you, and everyone stopped commenting I'd never be able to get through my Google Reader cause of all the freaking out I'd have to do.

Don't worry, you're not alone: this happens to me every few days.

Just for you, I didn't post today (we'll ignore the fact that I decided this before I read this post...)

And you are the guiltiest of all, my friend. Stop posting every day! No wait, don't - I need my daily fix.

I zeroed out the Google Reader a few times this past week - it just wasn't worth breaking out into a cold sweat over.

Andi, I'm not good at taking my own advice!

Nell, commenting should definitely NOT cease, especially here (wink, wink), but new posting should stop until I've gotten caught up.

So far, not too many have listened to me.

Damn.

If I stopped posting, my HEAD would eXPLODE - do you really want that on your hands? (not my head - the guilt, the GUILT!)

I hadn't checked my reader in a week, and it read +100 last night. However, I waded through them and zeroed it the good old fashioned way. Thank g*d that my husband arrived to let me have a break and actually READ some posts!

I'm thinking of following your request.

Oh, please, everyone listen to Jennifer! Drowning over here...

If you had asked me to stop working, I would have considered it :)

I will totally not do a post tomorrow. Besides, I've had writer's block for weeks now. When will one of my children climb up a tree and have to be rescued by a sexy fire fighter whose trousers fall off on his way up to fetch my kid so I'll have something to write about?

Dang, why don't good things happen to good people?!?!

How about we continue blogging just only write mediocre..well just plain crap? Then you could totally mark it as read. Not that I'm saying I write crap..well maybe I am, but I love that you read it!

I felt like that after being away on vacation! I skipped A LOT of posts!

Yeah. I totally need to reconfigure my blogroll. I'm WAY too bogged (blogged?) down.

'Cept I don't wanna hurt anyone's feelings, ya know?

Uhhu. Can do, womanzzz. And I'm right. There. With. You.

(Of course I read you. And now everyone is going, "BUT YOU READ HER!" and to that I say, "BUT SHE'S LIKE, UM, ME!"

Dunno if that helps.

Hey, ya can't say I'm not doing my part. I agree 100 %. It's August people! Stop being so damn ambitious and take a blogging break!

You don't even want to know how many I have in my reader. I stopped keeping count around 742.

Hey I did it, just for you. did really. That's why I only posted once this week. Or twice. :)

I'm with you. It's so easy to get behind. I had close to 200 to read. A little trick though. Just read the last one, ignore the rest, unless it's your favorite bloggers (see me reading down, 6 posts of yours), cause there's never enough time to truly catch up.
