Taking Care of Business

Wow. I'm going to have a baby tomorrow.

What an odd thing to type. I KNOW it's happening, but I can't seem to fully wrap my mind around this whole inevitable, life changing, frightening event.

Wow.

I've got a lot of business to take care of that I keep forgetting to post about so here goes...

Please don't forget about me while I'm gone, lost in a fog of sleeplessness and booby juice. I'm going to miss having time to fart around on the computer, reading all your blogs, having you all read mine, and commenting!

I've been voting for all of you at the Blogger's Choice Awards under the name Jenleah. It's a very tedious process, as you know, so I'm still working my way through the categories.

I'll keep everyone posted as soon as I can with a picture of my sweet, new baby girl. And, we'll hopefully have a winner in her naming contest. (I'm predicting 5 lbs, 9 oz, 19 inches. Tate has guessed 5 lbs, 7 oz, 20 inches. And no, our votes don't count in the contest!) Go vote right this instant if you haven't already. I mean it! I'll wait. Go ahead.

Are you done voting now? Okay, back to the business at hand.

I have been rejected by a lot of blog promoting websites. Assholes. The most recent rejection was apparently because my blog is PORNOGRAPHIC. I guess they didn't approve of my recent discussion of Vulvas or limp dicks.

I'm thinking of switching my blog over to Wordpress. Obviously, I won't be doing this right away. However, I'm such a giant computer idiot. You gotta do something special to get widgets at Wordpress, I'm so FREAKING confused. Blogger is so simple to use! And, I'm overwhelmed at the thought of trying to switch all my blogging affiliations (My Blog Log, Blogger Chicks...) to a new url.

Yeah, so, uh...I'm going to go have a baby. Again, don't forget about me, do I sound desperate?

Bye for now, Friends!

(Don't forget about me, k?)

We couldn't forget about you!! I can't wait to meet your sweet little girl. I'm so excited for you.

I did the wordpress switch and it was pretty easy after a few hurdles. I'd wait til you're able to think coherently though (or you, plus your hubby = 1 coherent adult).
I was induced as well and totally know what you mean about the "wow, it's 7am tomorrow!" feelings. I hardly got any sleep the night before, so I'd advise towards that tonight.
Good luck tomorrow!!

Three things:

1. You would be impossible to forget so go ahead and have your little 6lb 8 oz bundle of joy (and yes, that's my guess) and know that everyone will be waiting for you to return!

2. Good luck, I wish you the best and can't wait to hear the good news about little Petunia

3. Wordpress isn't that tricky. Honestly. If I, (being the most computer un-savvy person ever to walk the Earth) can figure it out, I promise it will be okay. When things calm down feel free to email me brainyjane22@hotmail.com and I will try to help anyway I can.

So in short, don't worry and go have your baby! :)

Yay! I'm excited for you!

And who could forget you and your pornographic blog? I can't!

Oooooh! New baby smell...bottle some up for me please. I can't wait to see pictures, which you should post directly after you give birth, straight from the hospital. You'll have all that free time while she is just sleeping away. ;)

Don't worry, I will be counting the days until youpost again...

Will be missing you here!

I was supposed to be induced with my son but went into labor at 10:00 the night before. So much for no suprises!

Good luck tomorrow! We won't forget you, and can't wait to hear all the details.

That is crazy about being rejected for pornography!

I am in the middle of a switch to TypePad, so I feel your pain. I still haven't processed all the things that must be done...

Not gonna forget about you, either. In fact, for the past week, as I prepare breakfast, I wonder, "Hm... wonder if Jennifer and Cris had their babies yet" and then I can't wait to check my reader to see if you have.

Good luck. Hope all goes well for the labor and delivery. And when you look into her eyes, you'll find out that it'll be just fine to have a daughter - all those anxieties will go away. They did for me.

Good luck tomorrow! I will be praying for you. Enjoy your time in the hospital- it will be nice to be taken care of for a little while before you get home and you, well... you know... don't get taken care of. I wish you a healthy, happy, non colicky baby, an easy delivery, a compassionate anesthesiologist, and wonderful nurses!
DON'T FORGET TO SWIPE SOME EXTRA DIAPERS! (MY NURSE EVEN LET ME SWIPE A COUPLE OF THOSE LARGER THAN THEY SELL IN THE STORE FLANNEL BLANKETS THAT ARE SOOOO MUCH EASIER FOR SWADDLING)

Lots of luck to you! May you have a complication-free delivery and a very healthy little girl. Hope you're up and about soon.

I can't believe WE'RE havin' babies tomorrow!! Now that's a weird comment. I am freakin' out and can't wait to get my Ambien that's waitin' for me at the hospital tonight when i check-in at midnight---the race is on, who of us will deliver first? I can't wait to check your blog and see little Petunia! I got so much to do and i can't think straight to save my life. Good luck!

I'll be thinking about you tomorrow and hoping you have the really really easy labor that you so deserve! Can't wait to meet the little one! Take the Ambien and sleep tonight while you still can.

Enjoy this time!! No forgetting here... You're one of my favorites. :-)

I can't wait to see an update. Take care of yourself. I remember having an 18 mo. old and a newborn. You simply can't do it all. Your son will learn that he needs to sit next to you while you nurse. You'll probably use the TV more to entertain Peanut. But that's OK!! The benefits outweigh the downsides.

Good luck and take care!

You must be so organised about it to be even able to write this post. Either that, or completely frantic!
Good luck!

Start nipple stimulation now... and just start eating chocolate the moment that baby is born! These techniques will help with nipple soreness from nursing a little baracuda and the chocolate will help with those ever-pleasant violent mood swings that will leave your husband not sure what to do with himself.

Congratulations! Good Luck! Get some rest--ignore those nurses who want to take your blood pressure every 20 minutes and remember that one can only bleed for 6 weeks... 8 tops!

I hope all went well. I found you through Absolutely Bananas after the big day. I switched from Blogger to Wordpress.com and love it.
